Tots' building is spacious, bright and airy Everything is at ground floor level, with the advantage that children can move easily and safely between the rooms and outdoor play areas to make best use of all the facilities we offer.
We have a large range of toys, equipment and other resources to cover all the stages of a child's development.
The younger children have a self-contained unit with a quiet area set aside for sleeping. The older ones have the Big Room (it is what it says).
In addition there's the Adventure Room for more energetic play, used by both age groups at different times, and two other rooms used for a host of other activities.
Our bathrooms are bright, spotlessly clean and equipped with appropriate-height toilets and hand basins.
Both our main rooms have a large range of toys and activities, including sand, water and paint for messy play and both have den areas for chilling out.
At Adventure Tots we believe children learn best through play. With that in mind we provide a wealth of resources and opportunities for them to use their imagination, discover and learn.
Our stimulating environment and experienced staff help each child to achieve their own potential - all this in a setting where each child can feel secure and loved.
We work to the Government's Early Years Foundation Stage requirements for care and education which are exactly the same as those set for nursery schools and reception classes.

Drop in and see us, you don't need an appointment - when it comes to choosing something as important as childcare, there is absolutely no substitute for walking through the door, seeing a nursery in action. and talking to the staff. The only thing we ask is that you please avoid the hour between 12.00 and 1.00pm as we and the children are busy having lunch!
We have a team of caring and enthusiastic practitioners, qualified from at least level 3, up to Level 6, and all with current paediatric first aid certifcates,
They average over 10 years' childcare experience each and several of them have been with us since we opened in October 2000.
All are cleared through the Disclosure and Barring Service and vetted for their suitability to work with children, which is reviewed at regular intervals.
We provide snacks such as toast, crumpets, croissants and milk in the morning; healthy self-serve snacks during the afternoon as well as a light tea such as sandwiches and fruit.
Our cook makes home-cooked lunches every day, using high-quality fresh ingredients from local suppliers..
Children in the Big Room can help themselves to drinks throughout the day
We have lots of experience catering for special dietary requirements - from the simple to the complex - working with parents to create a safe and nutritious eating plan.
Adventure Tots has been awarded a Bronze Recipe4Health Award by Lancashire Trading Standards.
